For each engagement, clients approve in advance the specific

Joseph has over 20 years experience as
a senior executive and advisor and as an entrepreneur,
in building start-up and growth stage ventures in diverse
industry settings. Joseph has directed strategy development,
conducted market research, developed marketing and operations
plans, prepared financial projections, written business
plans, completed acquisitions, designed and implemented
a variety of financial management and regulatory reporting
systems, raised financing, and developed internal systems
and staff. |
Joseph has served as a director of public and
private companies and of community organizations including,
for eight years, the Board of a specialty consumer finance
company based in Clearwater, Florida, USA, which grew during
this period from concept to US $50 million in assets
Prior to founding Angus Management, Joseph
was involved with two corporate start-ups: one was a large
private company (growing to over 400 employees and ultimately
sourcing some US $75 million in funding) where he was a senior
financial executive and a member of the executive management
committee, and; the other involved a smaller venture (growing
to 10 employees and sourcing just under Cdn $2 million in
funding) where Joseph was one of three founders.
The specialized focus of our practice is a direct result
of: Joseph's entrepreneurial experience in these start-ups; as focused by
6-1/2 years of 'Big-Four' professional firm training – 4 years in the
finance and business management consulting practice of
PricewaterhouseCoopers (then known as Price Waterhouse Associates), and
2-1/2 years with KPMG (then known as Peat Marwick Mitchell) – and an MBA
from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western
Ontario.
