  • Enabling the rapid-growth of a specialty retailer providing video rental services. In just two years, this private company raised and invested US $75 million in its business, hired over 400 employees, opened five regional distribution centres, and expanded to service over 3500 convenience store outlets across North America. In the midst of this growth, responsibilities included directing all financial reporting activities supporting: two mergers, negotiation of a US $45 million bank line, and completion of two private debt placements; managing accounts receivable functions that grew to process upwards of 1 million retail point-of-sale transactions per week; managing accounts payable and payroll; defining, staffing and computerising the financial management function across all activities and regions, and; building a financial managment staff team of 40 employees.
